STDs in Men Are Now Rising
STD and how the CDC deals with it
The report of the CDC about the prevention of STD is not that good this year. The number of chlamydia cases along with gonorrhea in the US grows from 2013-2014, just after growing down from the past few years. The cases related to syphilis have been growing for the past 10 years; it went up by more than 2014. Common STDs such as Chlamydia, gonorrhea & syphilis are the top 3 most typical STDs in the Us that are also noticeable, that means that the health departments are mandated to come up with a new report about the incidents to the CDC. HIV and so do with shigella are also included in the list of the STDs that people must watch out for.
Chlamydia is one of the most typical and may ruin the productive system of women. The report has discovered that in more than 2014 of them were more than 1.4M in chlamydia alone or just more than 456 for every 100,000 people. There are more than 350,000 instances or more than 111 for every 100,000 people with gonorrhea that leads to infections. There were more than 20,000 cases or more than 6 for every 100,000 people in terms of syphilis, which if it will be left uncured that, may lead to some serious complications that includes blindness. All of the 3 are easy to cure with the medicines alone and you can also lower the chance of getting them practice safe sex. These numbers show a dramatic increase of STDs in men. In the case of chlamydia, gonorrhea along with syphilis with more than 2%, 5% and 15% accordingly just in between the year 2013-2014.
Facts about the rates of the infections
This is a simple and lowest of the number of infections happening in the US according to Dr. Gail Bolan. She is the director of the CDCs Division of Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Prevention. She is also the lead author of the report that was released on Tuesday. There may be a lot of instance that turned undiagnosed due to the infections without any signs, which is usual among chlamydia patients and those with gonorrhea. Because they didn’t have any access to immediate health care, they weren’t tested for these cases, she added.
The Chlamydia rate has been growing since 1994 when it started to become a disease that must alert anyone. However, the numbers had started to decrease in 2011, until the new report comes during the first few years to see the rebound in the cases of chlamydia. On the other hand, the rebound for the chlamydia may not really be a bad instance, it may be because of the fact that more people are now getting the test, because the providers go on in becoming aware of the test since they started to find out about the disease and because better tests are now being used, she added.
