The CDC says in a report that the US holds the highest rate of STDs by around 20M cases yearly. As the primary of these infections show up on the skin, the dermatologists are just involved in handling the STD cases just like the urologists, infectious disease specialists and gynecologists to name some.

Female contraceptives and the rising STD cases among women

Even if there was a declining rate since 1950s, the birth rate among teens in the US is quite developed than in other advanced nations, this report was taken from the CDC. The LARCs like the intrauterine devices or IUDs along with hormonal implants that don’t really mandate planning or recurrent healthcare visits; they are perhaps the appropriate or comfy preventive modalities. On the other hand, even if high quality and efficient preventive measures were given during pregnancy, these modes will not prevent the transmission of STDs like chlamydia, herpes, gonorrhea, syphilis and HIV. However, the teens might not determine how important contraceptives are to keep them secure all the time during an intercourse. This is a primary concern, since around ½ of the STD infections occurred during the early 20s of the teens.
